About Jalapeno Fence Co.Meet Jorge and Austin

Jalapeno Fence Co. is a family-owned business led by father and son, Jorge and Austin. Together, they’ve built a company centered on quality fencing. With Jorge’s wealth of experience in business and the military, paired with Austin’s fresh, innovative mindset, they’ve created a thriving business that continues to expand—one yard at a time.

Formerly On Point Contractors

Jalapeño Fence Co. was formerly known as On Point Contractors. Same family-owned team, same crews, same commitment to building fences right the first time. You may still see the On Point Contractors name on some older videos, photos, or listings while we finish rebranding.

About Jorge

Jorge, co-owner and Army veteran

Where I Grew Up

I was born in Dallas, Texas. I grew up in South West Dallas in a small town called Arcadia Park. It was a mainly Mexican-American neighborhood. I attended Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (Arts Magnet). I signed up for the visual arts cluster. I excelled in jewelry silversmithing, drawing and painting. I wanted to attend Rhode Island School of Design but my parents did not have the funds. I am now married to a wonderful woman named Angelic. She is a teacher and a professor from San Antonio. She has multiple degrees, SAGU, SMU and UTA.

My Army Adventure

After High School, I joined the Army. “Where’s the Winnebago?” I volunteered again while in AIT to join the 82nd Airborne Division to jump out of planes. After jump school, I was assigned to the historic 2/504th at Ft. Bragg where I served as a 31U Communications Specialist working on Radios.

Once my enlistment ended I worked for a Motorola Dealer in N.C. I then moved back to Dallas after a decade there.

More About Me

A Salesman: Dallas brought me the opportunity to become a salesman. The company I worked for saw my potential selling 2-way radios. I did very well. At the same time. I learned graphic design and website design. I dove into sales, advertising, and marketing. I learned a lot.

An Entrepreneur: After years of working for people, I started a small mowing business on the side. After a few years of “learning”, the business grew into what we call today Jalapeno Fence Co. I am proud to say that my son Austin is my business partner.

An Artist: I have been drawing all my life. I draw, paint, sculpt. I love art! I will also get back to making jewelry.

About Me

I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a B.S. in mechanical engineering while working simultaneously with my dad to help develop Jalapeno Fence Co. to where it is today. Instead of pursuing a traditional career in engineering, I decided to do what I love and help grow Jalapeno Fence Co. as a full-time partner.

Born in North Carolina and raised in the great white north (Canada), I spent my summers in Dallas, Texas, working on fences for my dad’s company. Developing a deep appreciation for Texas, I made the decision to relocate permanently in 2014. Now I’m a proud two-steppin’, boot wearin’, God fearin’ Texan.

I love playing tennis, frisbee golf, fitness, and watching the Dallas Cowboys stomp on the Philadelphia Eagles.
